I used to stay up late to watch black and white mystery movies on tv when I was twelve. I discovered PD James and the psychological mystery by twenty. Now, I write suspense, mysteries, and thrillers. These books keep us on our toes, make an uncertain and often unfair world a little more within our control. Our illusion that we are adrift amidst the waves of time is tempered by Hercule, Dalgleish, or even the crotchety Morse. And hopefully by my CI Gray James, too.
